Strong Public Schools
Investing in Every Student's Future
Strong public schools build strong communities. Every child deserves the opportunity to receive a quality education, regardless of where they live. As a public school graduate who later attended technical college and earned a bachelor's degree, I understand firsthand how education can open doors and create opportunities throughout a person's life.
Our public schools are more than places where students learn. They are gathering places, major employers, and the heart of many of our communities. When we invest in public education, we invest in the future of Wisconsin.
My Priorities
As your representative, I will work to:
• Fully fund Wisconsin's public schools so students have the resources they need to succeed while reducing the pressure on local property taxpayers.
• Support teachers, support staff, and school administrators by ensuring they have the tools and resources needed to provide a high-quality education.
• Expand career and technical education, apprenticeships, and partnerships with local businesses to prepare students for today's workforce.
• Strengthen opportunities for students pursuing college, technical education, military service, or skilled trades after graduation.
• Work closely with parents, educators, school boards, and local communities to develop solutions that meet the unique needs of each school district.
Every Community Matters
The challenges facing our rural schools are different from those in larger communities. Decisions about education should not be made using a one-size-fits-all approach. Local communities deserve the flexibility to address their own needs while receiving fair support from the state.
Every student deserves the chance to succeed, and every community deserves schools that prepare the next generation for a bright future.
My Commitment
If elected, I will be a strong advocate for Wisconsin's public schools. I will work to ensure every student has access to a quality education, every educator receives the support they deserve, and every community has a voice in shaping its schools. I will continue listening to parents, teachers, students, school leaders, and local employers to build practical solutions that strengthen public education across District 72.
